Welcome to Brusheswithaview , My name is Ann Yaconis, Many people ask how did I get started painting glasses, Well back in June I was browsing through Pinterest and stumbled upon a painted chalkboard glass , It was my best friends birthday coming up So I though I would give it a try. The following months I made several more to give away as gifts . I taught myself the technique how to paint glass with the help of some artists on you tube and by reading many, many web sites on how to do it and make it permanent. Lot of paint and paper later and glasses . I felt confident enough to show my work to others. With the nudge from my friend I decided to sell them . My good friend owns a bakery I have many there on display , Several have sold there and Wow it amazes me that people actually like my work . So now its September 29 , I have done one show in Pequannock and through word of mouth business was starting to take off, I have done many glasses for my customers, from custom orders to basic floral patterns.
